Head of Legal and Compliance – Group Based in Geneva, member of the Executive Committee

Your responsibilities
- Act as the general in-house Legal Counsel and provide the management in Switzerland and all international locations with the necessary support on all legal and regulatory matters ; liaise with external advisors when necessary
- Identify, assess and manage all risks whilst acting in accordance with local laws, regulations and best practices
- Successfully align business needs with legal and regulatory requirements
- Manage all legal cases, legal agreements and contracts
- Manage all legal issues related to the creation and closing of companies or legal entities
- Provide the appropriate leadership, supervision, training and development opportunities to staff
- Oversee Compliance activities and ensure that all business activities fully comply with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies
- Liaise with regulatory authorities (local and foreign)
- Provide compliance and cross-disciplinary training to line management and staff

Your profile
- Licensed lawyer in Switzerland
- Proven track record of success in a similar role with a Swiss or international bank
- Sound knowledge of both national and international legal and regulatory financial environments
- Strong critical and analytical skills with the ability to exercise independent judgement and solve complex issues
- Confirmed people management experience with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and high ethical and integrity standards
- Fluent in English and French; any other European language an asset
- Residing in Switzerland .
